Bhor, 21st April 2025: A 21-year-old woman from Pune tragically died after falling from a height of 30 feet during a ziplining activity at Rajgad Water Park in Bhor. The incident occurred on Sunday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Taral Atapalkar, a resident of the Narhe area in Pune. She had visited the water park with her family for a weekend outing. The accident took place after she had participated in several other rides and was attempting to try the zipline.

According to preliminary reports, Taral was trying to secure herself to the zipline when the accident occurred. As the safety harness was positioned out of easy reach, she reportedly stood on a metal stool to clip herself in. The stool slipped, causing her to lose balance and fall from the platform.
She suffered severe head injuries from the fall and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.

Taral’s family has accused the park management of gross negligence and has demanded that a case of culpable homicide be filed against those responsible. They allege there was no trained staff present to assist or supervise the ziplining activity.
Rajgad Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.
