UGC-NET June 2025: Apply Online by May 7 for Assistant Professor and JRF Posts, Fellowship up to Rs 35,000
New Delhi, 19th April 2025 : The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the online application portal for the UGC-NET June 2025 cycle. The examination, conducted on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC), determines the eligibility of Indian nationals for the roles of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), as well as for Ph.D. admissions in Indian universities and colleges.

Online Application Submission: April 16, 2025 to May 7, 2025 (up to 11:59 PM)
Last Date for Exam Fee Payment: May 8, 2025
Correction Window: May 9–11, 2025
Exam Date (Tentative): June 21, 2025 onward
Admit Card & Exam City Details: To be announced later on the NTA website

Exam Details
UGC-NET June 2025 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for 85 subjects. The exam will determine:
1. Eligibility for Assistant Professor
2. Eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor
3. Admission to Ph.D. programmes
Fellowship Amount (for JRF-qualified candidates)
Up to ₹35,000 per month (subject to rules of funding institutions)
