Renowned artists Suvarna Mategaonkar and Nilesh Parab honored with the Babulal Data Kala Gaurav Award 2025

Pune, 17th April 2025: Renowned singer Suvarna Mategaonkar and percussionist Nilesh Parab were honored with the Babulal Data Kala Gaurav Award 2025. The award, initiated by Prashant Data, Director of Babuj Lakshminarayan Chiwada, aims to recognize and appreciate artists’ contributions. The award ceremony was part of the ‘Melodious Mangeshkars’ program, recently held at the MES Auditorium in Mayur Colony, Kothrud.

Shrinivas Joshi, veteran classical vocalist and President of Arya Sangeet Prasarak Mandal, presented the award to Suvarna Mategaonkar and Nilesh Parab. Prashant Data and Parag Mategaonkar were also present on the occasion.

The program ‘Melodious Mangeshkars’, which celebrated the legacy of the Mangeshkar family, drew a large audience of music enthusiasts. The event featured performances by Suvarna Mategaonkar and Sandeep Ubale, while Parag Mategaonkar shared stories about the Mangeshkar family. Sandeep Ubale’s performance of the title song from the TV series ‘Swarajya Rakshak Sambhaji’ was particularly well-received. Nilesh Parab’s dholki playing brought the program to a high-energy conclusion.
