Pune: Fight Breaks Out At Wedding In Koregaon Park as Woman Exposes Husband’s Bigamy

Koregaon Park, 15th April 2025: A major altercation occurred at a wedding ceremony held at a prominent club in Koregaon Park when a woman confronted her husband, who was marrying another woman despite still being legally married to her. The incident escalated when the first wife stormed the stage and exposed the situation, causing a commotion among the guests. During the confrontation, the woman was pushed and assaulted by her husband’s soon-to-be brother-in-law. A case has been filed at the Koregaon Park police station.

According to the complaint filed by the 34-year-old woman, Shami Joseph (45), a resident of Wanwadi, has been charged. Police reports suggest that the couple were married, but their divorce proceedings were already underway. Both worked in high positions at private companies. However, before the divorce could be finalized, her husband decided to marry another woman. Upon hearing about the wedding, which was taking place at a well-known club in Pune, the complainant traveled from Mumbai to confront her husband.

At the wedding, she took the microphone on stage and publicly accused her husband of marrying another woman without completing their divorce. This led to chaos among the guests. Her husband’s soon-to-be brother-in-law, noticing the commotion, climbed onto the stage, snatched the microphone from her hand, and forcefully shoved her off. After the altercation, the woman approached the police and filed a complaint. Further investigation is underway.
