Literary Festival 2018 organised by FICCI FLO Pune Chapter and Symbiosis International (Deemed University)

Pune, 25 January, 2018 : Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), an association of business organizations which has now collaborated with Symbiosis International University(SIU) , is going to organize a literary festival-‘Shabdotsav’ on February 3 and 4, 2018 from 11 am onwards at SIU, Viman Nagar campus.

This event is free and open to public as informed by Ms. Varsha Chordia- Chairperson, FICCI FLO. She said” I am glad to associate to symbiosis as the student strength here is huge which can reach out to a larger audience”. “We would love to see all the people of Pune at the festival”, signs off Ms. Varsha.

Anita Patnakar- Director, Symbiosis School of Liberal Arts said “with dance, media and other arts, politics is equally important” and hence she informed about ‘Tweet your Politics’ which will be a discussion between famous politicians and speakers including Rajdeep Sardesai and Sambit Patra held in the festival.
Famous personalities including Javed Akhtar-Poet, lyricist and screenwriter, Babul Supriyo- Union Minister of State(HI&PE), playback singer and actor, Hema Malini, Rishi Kapoor, Sanjeev Kapoor, Ravinder Singh and other renowned authors, celebrities speakers and politicians will be present.

Also, there would be lessons by the armed forces which will teach the ‘art of living’ as informed by Ms. Anita Patnakar. She also said “Older generations don’t understand the students, this will be a great opportunity to listen to them”.

Ms. Sujata Sabnis- Eminent author and a member of symbiosis said “there will be a serious discussion on the case of harassed husbands and that whether the laws are too much in for of women and whether they are misusing the rights given to them or not will be discussed by three prominent strong women of our country”.

Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar quoted few important lines “Students should be taught beyond classrooms as it’s the education style of 21st century which is the need of today’s youth”. Adding further she said “we would love to promote local languages including marathi language as well”.

Ms. Sabina Sanghvi- Immediate Past Chairperson informed that there would also be a reading room arranged for the people where they can sit and read books.
