Renowned Actor Sandeep Pathak to receive ‘Ram Nagarkar Kala Gaurav Award 2025’

Pune, 7th April 2025 : Renowned actor Sandeep Pathak will be honored with the Ram Nagarkar Kala Gaurav Award 2025. The award is jointly presented by the Ram Nagarkar Kala Academy and Belvalkar Sanskrutik Manch, as announced by Ram Nagarkar’s daughter-in-law, Dr. Vaijayanti Vandan Nagarkar, and Sameer Belvalkar of Belvalkar Sanskrutik Manch.

This is the fifth year of the Ram Nagarkar Kala Gaurav Award, and it will be presented to actor Sandeep Pathak by renowned playwright Satish Alekar at the S.M. Joshi Auditorium in Navi Peth on Monday, April 14th, at 5:30 pm. The award consists of a cash prize of ₹11,000, a citation, and a memento. This event is open and free for all on a first-come, first-served basis.

Talking about the award, Dr. Vaijayanti Nagarkar informed that comedians Bhau Kadam, Nilesh Sable, Samir Choughule, and Vishakha Subhedar have previously been honored with the Ram Nagarkar Kala Gaurav Award.

In elaborating on the award, Sameer Belvalkar stated, “Ram Nagarkar pioneered the tradition of solo performances, and Sandeep Pathak is carrying it forward with his notable work in ‘Varhad Nighalay Londonla’. It is our pleasure to confer the Ram Nagarkar Kala Gaurav Puraskar for this year upon Sandeep Pathak.”

The program will comprise two segments. The first half will feature the presentation of the Ram Nagarkar Kala Gaurav Puraskar to Sandeep Pathak. The second half will include an in-depth conversation between Pathak and esteemed anchor Rajesh Damle, interspersed with performances from Pathak’s play ‘Varhad Nighalay Londonla.’
