Veteran Actor Manoj Kumar Passes Away at 87
Mumbai, 4th April 2025: The Indian film industry has lost one of its legendary actors, Manoj Kumar, who passed away at the age of 87. Popularly known as Bharat Kumar for his patriotic roles, he breathed his last on Friday morning at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital, where he was undergoing treatment for heart-related complications.
Cause of Death
According to reports, Manoj Kumar was battling health issues for several days. The hospital’s medical certificate states that he succumbed to decompensated liver cirrhosis as a secondary cause.
A Legacy of Patriotism in Cinema
Born on July 24, 1937, as Harikishan Giri Goswami, Manoj Kumar made an indelible mark on Indian cinema with his films celebrating patriotism and social issues. Though he had been away from the silver screen for over two decades, his work continues to inspire generations.
