PCERF’s Constro 2018 inaugurated today

15th edition of Constro held at Agriculture College Ground, to be in the city till Sunday.

Pune, January 18, 2018: With advancing technologies and skill development, the construction industry in undergoing transformation. While talking about current scenario of the industry, Atul Chordia, Founder & Chairman, Panchshil Realty conveyed that, “Dry Construction is the future of the industry. It is environmental friendly and gives high finished results. Being initiated in Pune, we must make sure to promote it further,” during inauguration ceremony of Constro 2018, international fair on construction organised by Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation (PCERF) in association with ABEC Exhibitions & Conferences Pvt. Ltd was held on Thursday, January 18 at Agriculture College Ground, Shivaji Nagar.

“A great platform like Constro must include separate space to exhibit Dry Construction Technologies in its next edition,” opined Chordia who as a Chief Guest inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of other dignitaries like Shantilal Kataria, President, CREDAI, Maharashtra, Vishwas Lokare, President PCERF & Chairman Constro 2018, R S Kulkarni, HVACR Consulting Engineer, Sumit Gandhi, CMD, ABEC Exhibitions & Conferences Pvt. Ltd, Neelkanth Joshi, Hon. Secretary, PCERF, Naren Kothari, Vice President, PCERF, Sanjay Vaichar, Vice President, PCERF and Jaideep Raje, Treasurer, PCERF.

Talking about this biannual trade fair which is the largest events in the infrastructure & civil engineering industry in India, Lokare expressed that Contstro was started in 1985 as a collaborative effort wherein professionals from the industry and different organizations join forces to put together this trade fair that attracts lakhs of people each time.

He further said, “Constro is not an event it’s a movement, a platform with a primary objective to exchange & share information on techno-commercial advancements, industry trends and innovative concepts, related to materials, machinery, methods and projects and it very abides by it even in the 15th edition.” He also informed that the theme for this year is ‘Latest Trends in Building Services and Products -The Future of Buildings in India’.

Kataria called Constro as one of the eagerly awaited event in Maharashtra. “This year’s theme of Building Services is need of the hour especially after the introduction of RERA and GST. Constro theme has always been apt which helps in catering real time issues. With events like Constro, the construction sector is moving ahead to contribute 10% to GDP and 60% to Infrastructure investment,” he expressed. Kataria further appealed Construction industry to come tighter and join hands with PCERF for spreading and exchanging new technology for the betterment of the industry.

Constro 2018 is organised from January 18-21 and is spread over an area of around 21078.00 sq.m with more than 250 booths. The fair has support of 40 organisation who have partnered with PCERF for this event. “Going by past record and increasing interest amongst stake-holders we are expecting around 2 lacs visitors and more than 15,000 business delegates to attend the event which has reached International Standards and ambiance,” Lokare concluded.
