5 Exercises At Home To Stay Fit And Slim

Your own body weight is enough to get a great workout. Here are five simple and effective exercises you can do at home, starting with push-ups.
Push-ups are a great compound exercise, which strengthens your chest, shoulders, triceps, and core muscles. To do this-
•Place your hands on the ground and spread the legs straight backward.
•Keep the body straight and bring the chest close to the ground while bending the elbows.
•Then come back to the starting position.
•Do 10-15 push-ups initially and gradually increase the number.
Squats are a great exercise to strengthen the legs and lower body. It targets the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes. To do this-
•Spread the legs at shoulder width.
•Sit with your knees bent down, as if you were sitting in a chair.
•Keep the back straight and do not let the knees go beyond the toes.
•Return to the starting position.
•Do 3 sets of 15-20 squats.
Plank is a great core exercise that strengthens the stomach, waist and shoulders. To do this-
•Get into the push-up position, but keep the elbows on the ground.
•Keep the body straight and tighten the core muscles.
•Hold this position for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
•Gradually increase the time.
Lunges are the best exercise to strengthen the legs and glutes. To do this-
•Stand up straight and extend one leg forward.
•Bring the knee of the back leg close to the ground.
•Then return to the starting position.
•Repeat the same steps with the other leg.
•Do 3 sets of 10-12 lunges each.
Burpees are a full-body exercise that serves both cardio and strength training. To do this-
•Stand up straight.
•Come down and get into the push-up position.
•Then immediately pull the legs back and jump up.
•Repeat this process rapidly.
•Do 3 sets of 10-15 burpees.
Including these five exercises in your daily routine can help you stay fit and active without needing a gym or expensive equipment. Start with small reps and increase them gradually.
