A treat for theatre lovers, Lillete Dubey’s ‘9 Parts of Desire’ and ‘Vodka and No Tonic’ to be staged in Pune

Pune, 25th February 2025: Fans of English theatre are in for a double delight as they have an opportunity to witness two of Lillete Dubey’s plays at Shreeram Lagoo Rang Avakash over the weekend.

”9 Parts of Desire”, is an award winning international hit by the Iraqi American writer, Heather Raffo, directed by Lillete Dubey will be staged on Saturday, March 1st at 7:30pm. It is a solo performance by Ira Dubey in English and has a very strong universal theme. Both the play and Ira have got terrific reviews. It is a wonderful piece of writing both powerful and moving and especially relevant to the times we live in, with a special emphasis on the feminine point of view on war, violence & its ramifications. The play opened in India in August 2013 and has completed over 75 shows across India & South Africa. Duration of the play is 80 minutes and it is open for individuals above the age of 16 years.

Vodka & No Tonic” And other powerful stories of love lost and found from Shobhaa De’s bestseller “Lockdown Liaisons” is Produced & Directed by Lillete Dubey. It will take place at Shreeram Lagoo Rang Avakash on Sunday March 02, 2025 at 5:00pm and 7:30pm. The play has completed 50 shows in various cities of the country. The play comprises of 5 stories including ‘ Vodka and no Tonic’ – ( English ) performed by Ira Dubey, ‘ A Quest ends’ – ( English ) performed by Joy
