Pune, 26th October 2024: Senior citizens and pregnant women traveling through Pune Airport no longer have to trek to the Aeromall after landing at the new terminal. New arrangements have been made to provide taxis at the exit gate of the new terminal specifically for them. To facilitate this, the administration has established a ‘May I Help Desk’ at the location.

To address the traffic congestion caused by taxis in the airport terminal area, the airport administration has arranged a taxi and rickshaw stand on the third floor of the Aeromall parking lot. Initially, passengers had to walk a long distance with their luggage after disembarking from the plane.

However, over time, the administration has introduced battery-powered vehicles and electric buses right in front of the new terminal to transport passengers to the Aeromall, from where they can take taxis to their destinations. Despite these e-buses and battery vehicles, senior citizens and pregnant women were still facing significant challenges.

In response to this situation, the airport administration has now launched the ‘May I Help Desk’ exclusively for senior citizens and pregnant women. This desk is located in front of the new terminal, allowing these air passengers to access taxis directly within the new terminal area.
