Pune: Frequent Accidents on Shankar Sheth Road Due to Unrepaired Divider

Camp, 23rd October 2024: A four-wheeler overturned on the main road near Dhobi Ghat on Shankar Sheth Road after accidentally mounting a broken road divider. The incident occurred between 12:00 am and 12:15 am. No casualties were reported, and it was confirmed that three people were traveling in the vehicle.

The damaged divider in the middle of the road is a known cause of frequent accidents in this area. At night, the broken divider becomes almost invisible to drivers, causing vehicles to unintentionally drive over it.

The road in this area is unbalanced and severely damaged. During the rainy season, large potholes and scattered gravel make the road even more hazardous. Commuters and local residents have raised multiple complaints with the Pune Cantonment Board, but despite repeated requests, this serious issue continues to be ignored.
