Hyundai’s New Pune Plant to Drive Employment and Economic Growth in Maharashtra

Pune, 22nd October 2024: Hyundai is set to establish its next manufacturing plant in Pune, Maharashtra. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced the development, expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his support.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Deputy CM Fadnavis said, “This is awesome news for Maharashtra! Hyundai’s Pune plant will accelerate Maharashtra’s growth even further! Hyundai’s upcoming plant in Pune is a milestone in Maharashtra’s industrial journey and India’s mobility revolution, propelling us toward the vision of a $1 trillion economy in Maharashtra. Grateful and a big thank you to Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji for his visionary leadership and constant encouragement. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi met with Hyundai Group Executive Chairman Euisun Chung earlier this week. During their interaction, Chung expressed Hyundai’s enthusiasm to work with India, citing the country’s new industrial approach and business-friendly environment.

Chung also invited Prime Minister Modi to visit Hyundai’s upcoming plant in Pune, and the Indian government has pledged full cooperation with the Maharashtra government to support the project. The new facility is expected to create a significant number of job opportunities in the region.
