Pune: Three Arrested in Loni Kalbhor for Posting Photos of Gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Dawood Ibrahim

Loni Kalbhor, 22nd October 2024: The Pune City Police have arrested three individuals for posting statuses with photos of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who recently came back into the limelight following the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, and notorious gangster Dawood Ibrahim. The incident came to light on Sunday, 20th October, around 6:30 p.m.

A 40-year-old man filed a complaint at the Loni Kalbhor police station, leading to the arrests. The accused were presented before First-Class Magistrate TS Gaigole.

Assistant Public Prosecutor Adv. Bhagyashree Sancheti (Dangle), representing the government, argued that further investigation is necessary to determine whether the accused have any connections with the Dawood Ibrahim gang. Adv. Sancheti requested police custody for the accused, citing the need to investigate who provoked them to post the status, who instigated the act, and whether others were involved. The court accepted the argument and remanded the three to police custody until 23rd October.
