Pune, 19th October 2024: A well-known jeweller in Pune has reportedly received an extortion demand worth crores allegedly from notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. While the jeweller’s identity is being kept confidential, sources reveal that they are a nationally recognized figure. Pune Police have confirmed to Punekar News that they are working to trace the email sender, who claimed to be Lawrence Bishnoi.

The Pune Police Crime Branch has formed multiple teams to investigate the matter. Although officers have suggested the possibility that this could be a hoax, a prank, or a case of cyber fraud, recent events have heightened fear. The murder of former minister Baba Siddiqui, reportedly by members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has already caused alarm, and this latest threat only adds to the tension.

Pune Police have assured Punekar News that the investigation is ongoing and more information will be provided as the case develops.
