Political Parties Restricted to Ten-Car Convoys in Pune Until 25th November
Pune, 18th October 2024: Pune District Collector Dr. Suhas Diwase has issued a restriction order on the use of more than ten motor cars for fleets or convoys of vehicles by political parties, contesting candidates, or their representatives during election campaigning in Pune District.
These orders will remain in force until 25th November 2024. Violators of this order will face penal action under the provisions of the Representation of the People Act of 1951 and Section 223 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita of 2023.
