Pune, 17th October 2024: Physics Wallah (PW), a prominent Indian edtech company dedicated to delivering affordable and high-quality education across the country, has announced plans to open 77 new tech-enabled offline learning centres in the upcoming academic year 2025-26. These new centres, spread across states such as Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra, will nearly double PW’s offline presence to 203 centres in 141 cities.

This expansion marks a significant step in PW’s mission to democratize education, particularly for students in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, ensuring that even the most underserved areas of India have access to top-notch educational resources. With the new centres, PW aims to bridge the gap between digital and traditional learning, making high-quality education more accessible to students across the country.

“In academic year 2024-25, we enrolled over 200,000 students in our Vidyapeeth and Pathshala centres, which shows the growing trust in our mission to make quality education accessible to all,” said Ankit Gupta, CEO of Offline Operations at Physics Wallah. “With the launch of more centres, we are not only increasing access but also reducing the financial and emotional burden students often face when they need to relocate for education. Our goal is to create educational hubs across the country, ensuring students don’t have to travel long distances for quality learning.”

PW’s offline learning structure is divided into two models: Vidyapeeth (VP) and Pathshala (PS). Vidyapeeth centres offer in-person classes led by experienced teachers, while Pathshala centres implement a hybrid two-teacher system. In the Pathshala model, the main instructor teaches via a virtual platform, while a second teacher is physically present in the classroom to address student questions and provide on-the-spot support. This model allows students in even the most remote locations to benefit from the expertise of top-tier educators without needing to leave their hometowns.

Gupta added, “At PW, the student’s well-being is always our priority. By opening more centres, we are aiming to make education as accessible as possible. We understand the challenges students face when relocating, so we want to bring education to their doorsteps while maintaining the same high standards.”

This commitment to accessibility was also demonstrated through PW’s third edition of the National Scholarship Common Admission Test (NSAT) 2024. The test, held both online and offline, was designed to ensure that deserving students could access the resources they need to excel in competitive exams such as NEET-UG and IIT-JEE. PW set aside a substantial scholarship fund of INR 250 crores, making it one of the largest scholarship initiatives in the country.

Through its expanding network of centres and generous scholarship offerings, PW continues to make strides in ensuring that education is not a privilege but a right, available to all students regardless of location or financial background.
