Past Rivalry Sparks Deadly Altercation Between Two Juveniles in Pimpri Chinchwad; Here’s What Happened

Nigdi, 16th October 2024: Yet another murder has occurred in Pimpri Chinchwad, this time involving juveniles. The murder resulted from past animosity and an ego clash between the deceased and the accused, leading to a fatal altercation under the jurisdiction of the Nigdi Police Station, during which the juvenile was brutally killed. The minor friend of the deceased juvenile, along with the accused minor, also sustained injuries in this incident.

Saifun Amin Sahab Bagwan (age 40, resident of Rupee Nagar) filed a complaint at the Nigdi Police Station. A 17-year-old minor from the Ota Scheme has died, while another 17-year-old has also been injured. Police have arrested a 17-year-old resident of the Ota Scheme.

The charges against the accused include BNS Sections 103 (1) (punishment for murder), 109 (1) (attempt to murder), and relevant sections of the Arms Act of 1959 and the Maharashtra Police Act of 1951.

According to police reports, the incident occurred yesterday evening in Nigdi. The trio had previously fought during a dandiya event, which led to past animosity. To prevent any future repercussions, the deceased and his friend approached the accused to talk and solve the issue.

During the confrontation, the deceased attacked the accused with a koyta, while the accused retaliated with a knife. The accused gained the upper hand, stabbing the deceased in the face and back before fleeing the scene. The deceased sustained serious injuries, and the Pimpri Chinchwad Police received a call about the incident. The deceased’s friend, who tried to stop the fight, also sustained injuries.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 1) Swapna Gore, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Chinchwad Division) Mugutlal Patil, and Senior Police Inspector Shatrughna Mali, in charge of the Nigdi Police Station, all arrived at the location. The Detection Branch (DB) of the Nigdi Police Station, led by Ambarish Deshmukh, acted quickly and detained the minor accused. Police Inspector (Crime) Bilal Shaikh is investigating the matter further.

Additionally, after his arrest, the 17-year-old minor accused filed a complaint of attempted murder against the deceased and his injured friend, resulting in a mutual complaint scenario.
