Water Supply to Be Affected in Pimpri Chinchwad on October 17-18: PCMC Issues Advisory
Pimpri Chinchwad, 15th October 2024: On 17th October, the water supply in some areas of Pimpri Chinchwad City will not occur in the evening, and on 18th October, the water supply may face disruptions or low pressure. This information was provided by Pramod Ombhase, Chief Engineer of the Water Supply Department of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC). The inlet gate of the filter house for Phase No. 2 of the Water Purification Center at Sector No. 23, Nigdi, will be replaced. Additionally, the replacement of the valve for the CLF drain in Phase No. 1 and the installation of valves for both Phase No. 1 and Phase No. 2 will be carried out.
On Thursday, 17th October, the morning water supply for Pimpri Chinchwad City will occur at the regular time, but the evening water supply will be suspended. Since all systems will be shut down for water supply and electrical maintenance work, the water supply on 18th October will be irregular and at low pressure. The Water Supply Department of PCMC has appealed to all citizens to conserve the water available from PCMC and to use it sparingly, as well as to cooperate with PCMC during this period.
