Pimpri Chinchwad: Massive Fire Destroys Electrical Appliance Godowns in Chikhali
Chikhali, 7th October 2024: : A massive fire broke out in the Kudalwadi area of Pimpri Chinchwad’s Chikhali, engulfing multiple godowns storing electrical wiring and other appliances. The incident occurred at around 4:15 PM today, prompting immediate action from the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s Main Fire Station, which received an emergency call at approximately 4:20 PM.
Fire engines from Moshi, Chikhali, and Talawade Fire Stations were quickly dispatched to the site. The blaze destroyed three godowns containing refrigerators, electrical wires, and computer equipment. Firefighters arrived just in time to prevent a fourth godown from being consumed by the flames.
Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported. With the assistance of around eight fire engines, the fire was brought under control within an hour. An investigation is expected to determine the cause of the fire.
