Pune: Minor Girl Molested At School In Kharadi, Accused Yet To Be Arrested

Kharadi, 5th October 2024: Incidents of sexual assault against minor girls have increased in the city. While the incident of a van driver committing obscene acts with minor school girls in the Wanwadi area was fresh, the incident of molestation of a girl studying in class 3 in a school in the Kharadi area came to light. A case has been registered by Chandannagar police station in this regard.

On 1st October, the girl’s mother was reportedly teaching her about ‘Good and Bad touch’ at home. At that time, the girl told her mother that a person from the school named Sanjay sir touched her inappropriately outside the toilet. Her mother then went to her school on 3rd October and asked the headmaster about it.

By recognizing the seriousness of the incident the headmaster quickly informed the Damini team of the police about the said incident. The police registered a case and started searching for the accused. The girl was shown pictures of school teachers. However, she said that the person who committed the obscene act was someone else.

The police have seized the CCTV footage of the school while Police sub-inspector Patil is investigating the case further.
