Pune: Case Registered Against Two Builders For Unauthorized Constructions By PMRDA

Pune, 4th October 2024: The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has registered a case against the builders of unauthorized construction in the Hinjawadi and Manjari areas.

Earlier a notice was issued to the concerned to stop the unauthorized construction. However, due to non-compliance with that notice, two finally booked by PMRDA.

Hinjawadi police station registered a case against an unauthorized construction worker in Hinjawadi and a case was registered in Hadapsar station against a woman for unauthorized construction.

Reportedly, the said builders were given notices from time to time by PMRDA to stop the unauthorized construction. However, as the builders did not comply with the authority’s notice, a case was registered against them under Section 54(2) of the Maharashtra Regional Planning and Town Planning Act, 1966 at Hinjawadi and Hadapsar police stations.

An appeal is being made to the property owners within the boundaries of the PMRDA to carry out their constructions only after obtaining permission. Deepti Suryavanshi-Patil, Deputy Collector of the Unauthorized Construction Eradication Department of PMRDA stated that the ongoing unauthorized constructions should be stopped immediately. Otherwise, punitive action will be taken against the concerned as per the said rule.
