Pune, 30th September 2024: A confrontation occurred between OBC leader Hake and Maratha protesters on the Katraj-Kondhwa road in Pune. The dispute arose when Laxman Hake was called to the location, where Maratha protesters accused him of being under the influence of alcohol. In response, Hake claimed that the Maratha protesters had deliberately attacked him.

A video related to the incident is circulating on social media, showing Hake being held by his colleagues during the altercation. Following the clash, members from both sides went to the Kondhwa Police Station, where complaints against each other were lodged.

The Maratha protesters have demanded a medical test for Hake to determine if he had consumed alcohol. Hake, however, denies the allegations, insisting that the claims are part of a deliberate attempt to tarnish his reputation.

The conflict reportedly escalated after the Maratha protesters took offence at a statement made by Hake against former MP Sambhajiraje Chhatrapati. The situation quickly intensified, with both sides gathering in large numbers at the Kondhwa Police Station, demanding action and clarifications.

The police are investigating the matter, and further developments are awaited.
