College Student from Nagaland Brutally Beaten and Robbed at Baner Hill in Pune

Baner, 30th September 2024: A college student was brutally beaten and robbed in Pune. The incident occurred when the student and his friend went to Baner Hill. The victim, who was attacked, is from the northeastern part of India and has come to Pune for his education. A case has been registered at the Chaturshringi Police Station.

Pijendai Komai, a 19-year-old resident of Sangvi and a native of Nagaland, was injured and reported the incident to the Chaturshringi Police Station.

Komai and his friend went to Baner Hill on Saturday (28th September) at around 7:30 p.m. At that time, four individuals intercepted them. They were beaten, and Komai was brutally attacked on his leg. Items worth Rs 20,000 were forcibly taken from both Komai and his friend. Similar incidents have been reported in the area previously, including on Pashan Sus Road. Police Sub-Inspector Praveen Chougule from the Chaturshringi Police Station is investigating the matter further.
