Pune: MSRTC Bus Meets with Accident in Bhor Taluka, 42 Passengers Injured

Bhor, 30th September 2024: A Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus was involved in an accident near Mahude Budruk in Bhor Taluka, Pune District. The bus became stuck in the mud and lost momentum, averting a major disaster. More than 40 people sustained injuries and were treated at the Sub District Hospital in Bhor.

The incident occurred around 10 AM as the bus was returning to Bhor from Mahude Budruk, with over 42 passengers on board. Of the 42 reported injuries, 39 were treated at the Sub District Hospital, while 3 were taken to a private hospital. Fourteen people had to be admitted for further treatment.

The accident occurred due to the driver losing control of the vehicle; however, the exact cause of the loss of control remains unclear. Buses from the Bhor Depot often experience damage and make multiple stops, according to regular commuters. It is believed that a mechanical fault in the bus may have caused the accident. Detailed information about the accident has not yet been received from the Bhor Depot or the Local Police.
