Pune: Two Arrested with Mephedrone Worth Rs. 14 Lakhs in Kondhwa

Kondhwa, 28th September 2024: The Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Pune City Police Crime Branch has arrested two individuals in the Kondhwa area for attempting to sell mephedrone drugs. The operation resulted in the seizure of 63 grams of mephedrone, valued at approximately Rs. 14 lakhs.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Zaheer alias Saad Gani Khan (20) and Adnan Shabir Shaikh (25), both residents of Kondhwa.

According to Police Inspector Sudarshan Gaikwad, the anti-narcotics team was on patrol in the Kondhwa area when they received a tip-off regarding two individuals in possession of mephedrone. Acting on the information, the officers apprehended Khan and Shaikh in front of the Opel Falak Society and conducted a search, leading to the discovery of the drug.

This operation was carried out under the supervision of the Crime Branch Additional Commissioner of Police Shailesh Balakwade, DCP Nikhil Pingle, and ACP Rajendra Mulik. The team included API Nitinkumar Naik, PSI Digambar Chavan and police personnel Azim Sheikh, Chetan Gaikwad, Prashant Bomadandi, Sandeep Jadhav, Disha Khewalkar, Sahil Shaikh, Sandeep Shelke, Yogesh Mandhare, Nitin Jagdale, Yuvraj Kamble and Azad Patil.
