Pune, 27th September 2024: Tata AutoComp Systems, a leading name in India’s automotive component industry, has partnered with the Inner Wheel Club of Khadki to host a free seven-day artificial limb fitment camp in Pune. This initiative, part of Tata AutoComp’s CSR program, aims to provide prosthetics and mobility aids to more than 400 people with physical disabilities from Pune and nearby areas.

The camp, which runs from September 24 to 29, 2024, is being conducted in collaboration with the Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS) Indore Centre. The initiative will offer customized artificial limbs, calipers, crutches, and other assistive devices to those in need—all free of cost.

“This initiative reflects our organization’s deep commitment to social responsibility,” said Arvind Goel, Chairman of Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd., during the camp’s inauguration. “Through this program, we aim to improve the lives of those facing mobility challenges by providing them with the tools they need to live independently. Our focus is on empowering individuals to regain their dignity and thrive in society.”

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Mr. Arihant Mehta, President of Pinnacle Industries, Ms. Ritika Mehta, Director of Pinnacle Industries, and Dr. Suniti Goel, President of the Inner Wheel Club of Khadki, District 313.

“True strength comes from within,” remarked Dr. Suniti Goel. “While these artificial limbs can help people move forward, it is their resilience and willpower that will enable them to overcome challenges. Our goal is to support those from economically weaker sections with life-changing assistance, free of charge.”

The camp, supported by renowned Pune-based organizations such as the Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Sarvajanik Ganapati Trust and Suvarnayug Tarun Mandal, has already seen a large turnout. Beneficiaries from across the city have gathered to receive their customized prosthetics, which have been designed to maximize mobility and comfort.

Technicians and volunteers at the camp are ensuring that the prosthetic fittings are precise and that each beneficiary receives personalized post-fitment care. “We are committed to making sure that every individual who comes to the camp leaves with renewed hope and better mobility,” added Goel.

The camp is open to all, and registrations are ongoing at the Dagdusheth Ganpati Decoration Section, opposite Sarasbaug in Pune, where the camp is being held.

For those seeking assistance, the camp offers a unique opportunity to regain mobility and improve their quality of life, making a meaningful difference in the lives of over 400 individuals by the end of the week.
