Football: Durga S.A are PDFA III-Div champs

Pune, 27th September 2024: Durga Sports Academy was finally crowned the Poona District Football Association (PDFA) III-Division Champions 2024.

In the final, played at the Ganga Legends, Bavdhan ground, Durga Sports Academy fought off the challenge of Eagles F.C 2-0 after finding the net twice in the second-half.

The first was scored by Nelson Paste (47th) and later by Tushar Durga ten minutes later in the 58th minute.

Success for Durga S.A this year was hard fought and came after conceding just 1 (one goal) and scoring 27 in their campaign. The lone goal they conceded was to Barca Academy when they won 5-1.

Last season, in Durga S.A’s maiden year they lost in the quarterfinals of the III Division League.

For Durga S.A success was attained after two years of registering with the PDFA League.

The club has been in existence for the past 12 years and has been functional as an academy.
