Pune Prepares for Prime Minister Modi’s Visit: Designated Parking Areas Announced
Pune, 25th September 2024: Due to the expected influx of citizens from the district coming to Pune city for the scheduled visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 26th September 2024, various locations in Pune city have been designated for parking vehicles tomorrow. District Collector and Chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority, Dr. Suhas Diwase, issued an order regarding this matter.
In light of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s planned visit to Pune, the District Collector has issued these orders under the authority granted by Section 65 of the Central Disaster Management Act 2005 to ensure the safety of the VIP and maintain law and order.
According to the order, the following locations have been acquired for parking: the riverbank at Bhide Bridge, Patil Plaza, New English School Tilak Road, DP Road, Mhatre Bridge, New English School Ramanbaug, Harjivan Hospital, Savarkar Chowk, PMPML Ground, Puram Chowk, Neelayam Theatre, Vimaltai Garware School, Abasaheb Garware College, Kataria Secondary School, Minerva Parking Mandai, and Hamalwada Parking.
