Kondhwa, 20th September 2024: As part of the nationwide campaign “Takreem-e-Insaniyat” (Dignity of Humanity), initiated by Wahdat-e-Islami Hind, a special “Introduction to Mosque” program was held for local non-Muslim residents at Kausar Bagh Mosque on Friday, 20th September. The campaign aims to restore the dignity and honor that Allah has bestowed upon humanity, to eliminate man-made divisions in society, and to unite all people under the servitude of Allah.

This program sought to introduce the mosque as a place of worship and reflection and to promote peaceful dialogue between Muslims and non-Muslims. The initiative was warmly received by local residents, with participants from diverse backgrounds attending the event. The program included a tour of the mosque, where visitors were educated about the Islamic method of worship and the significance of the mosque.

Former Pune Mayor, Prashant Jagtap, along with his team, also attended the event. After introducing the mosque, the representatives of Wahdat-e-Islami Hind presented Prashant Jagtap and his companions with copies of the Marathi translation of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) Farewell Sermon.

Guest speaker Abdul Malik Wahab addressed the attendees on the theme of human dignity and spoke about the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the establishment of a just system as a solution to today’s problems.

The visitors were invited to observe the congregational prayer, giving them an understanding of the importance of prayer in Islam, which symbolizes devotion and humility before Allah.

A key message delivered during the event was that the core principle of Islam is equality, as expressed by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH): “All humans are equal, and no one has superiority over another except through piety.” This message highlighted the theme of the campaign, “Takreem-e-Insaniyat,” emphasizing the promotion of a society free from prejudice, hatred, caste, and injustice.

The program concluded with tea and snacks for the guests, symbolizing unity and brotherhood. Many participants expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to engage with their Muslim fellows and gain a deeper understanding of Islamic teachings and practices.

The “Introduction to Mosque” program held at Kausar Bagh Mosque was not only a successful community outreach initiative but also an important step toward dispelling misconceptions about Islam and building bridges of mutual understanding. This event was part of broader efforts to promote mutual respect and harmony and contribute to the creation of a more inclusive and cohesive society.
