Pune Police Register Cases Against 31 Ganpati Mandals Including 11 For Noise Pollution
Pune, 23rd September 2024: Pune Police has registered cases against 31 Ganesh Mandals, including 11 for noise pollution. Additionally, 19 cases were filed for offences such as molestation, minor disputes, and incidents on immersion day.
Despite strict instructions against using loud DJs and laser lights, violations occurred during the main procession and in suburban areas, leading to these charges being filed by various police teams. So far, 11 cases related to noise pollution have been registered, and Pune Police has stated that further action is ongoing, with work continuing at the local level.
