Pune, 23rd September 2024: In recent days, important roads in the Ganeshkhind, Pashan, and Baner areas have fallen into disrepair, causing significant problems for both citizens and drivers. In response, the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has issued another notice to the Pune IT City Metro Rail Limited (PITCMRL), the company responsible for operating the metro, instructing them to complete the necessary road repairs immediately.

PITCMRL has been contractually responsible for road work in these areas based on a handover agreement. However, the poor condition of the roads in Ganeshkhind, Pashan, and Baner, particularly near the Agricultural College, has led to numerous challenges for drivers.

These roads are heavily trafficked, with hundreds of vehicles passing through daily. Due to the deteriorating conditions, drivers are forced to navigate slowly to avoid potholes. It is imperative that these roads are repaired in accordance with the contractual agreement.

Despite repeated requests, PITCMRL has not addressed these issues. Considering the difficulties faced by citizens, Dr. Yogesh Mhase, Commissioner of PMRDA, has issued a notice mandating that the roads be repaired by 25th September. Additionally, a notice regarding the roads from Maan-Hinjawadi to Shivajinagar was issued to the concerned parties 15 days ago.
