Pune: Fire Breaks Out in Vadgaonsheri Market, Consuming Five Grocery Shops; No Injuries Reported

Vadgaonsheri, 21st September 2024: This afternoon in Vadgaonsheri Market, five shops caught fire, primarily those selling groceries and food items. The fire consumed the store’s materials, but fortunately, no one was injured. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames.

The incident occurred around noon in the Mate Nagar area of Vadgaonsheri, causing panic among locals. Upon receiving the report, eight fire engines were dispatched to the scene. Under the guidance of Fire Officer Ramesh Gangad and Pramod Sonawane, firefighters managed to bring the fire under control.

Following the incident, traffic was congested in the area, and some food stalls in the market were affected. There have been previous fire incidents in this area. The exact cause of the fire is still unknown. However, fire officials suspect it may have originated from a short circuit.
