Ganeshotsav 2024: 3,763 Public Idols and 10,14,637 Domestic Idols Immersed in Pune

Pune, 18th September 2024: Yesterday, Anant Chaturdashi was celebrated, marking the end of Ganeshotsav 2024. During the festival, a total of 3,763 public Ganesh Mandals immersed their idols in Pune, while 10,14,637 domestic idols were immersed throughout the event. Most immersions by people and public Ganesh Mandals took place yesterday.

For the grand immersion procession of public Ganesh Mandals, four main routes are used: Laxmi Road, Tilak Road, Kumthekar Road, and NC Kelkar Road, all of which connect to Alka Talkies Chowk. Among these, 131 public Ganesh Mandals had their processions on Laxmi Road, 170 on Tilak Road, 54 on Kumthekar Road, and 97 on NC Kelkar Road. The first procession took place yesterday at 10:15 AM, while the last one occurred today at 3:00 PM, making this Ganesh Visarjan 28 hours and 45 minutes long.
