Pune, 16th September 2024: Every year, many people in Pune celebrate the Ganesh Visarjan procession with great enthusiasm. However, some individuals exceed the limits set by the Pune Police Administration.

In response, Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar has issued a stern warning. Action will be taken against groups causing noise pollution by erecting sound system walls during the Ganesh Visarjan procession. Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar informed that 126 teams have been deployed to monitor noise levels with noise level meters.

Some mandals erect sound system walls during the procession, leading to complaints last year about disturbances to senior citizens, children, and other residents due to excessive noise. Therefore, this year, no Ganesh Mandal should violate the noise level regulations. The 126 teams have been organized to enforce these rules. Pune City Police have advised all Ganesh Mandals to adhere to these guidelines.

Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar stated, “Ganeshotsav is being celebrated in the city with enthusiasm and a positive atmosphere. The police are receiving good cooperation from all Ganesh Mandals, for which we are grateful. Preparations for the Visarjan procession have been made, and problems have been addressed through inspections and discussions with relevant departments. I am confident that the Visarjan procession will take place in a well-organized manner.”
