Brutal Murder Shocks Pune: Woman’s Dismembered Body Found In River In Kharadi

Kharadi, 27th August 2024: A woman was killed, and her body was gruesomely dismembered, making identification impossible. The police discovered the dismembered remains in the Kharadi area, in the Mula-Mutha river.

The woman’s age is estimated to be between 18 and 30 years old. A case has been registered against an unknown individual at the Chandan Nagar Police Station, Pune City Police.

According to police, the body was found behind an ongoing construction site at the riverbed in Kharadi, where it was reported that a woman’s dismembered body—missing arms, legs, and head—was discovered.

The identity of the deceased woman has not yet been determined. The body was severed at the torso, with both arms removed at the shoulders and both legs at the ankles, using a sharp weapon, likely with the intent to kill and destroy evidence. The remains were then dumped in the Mula-Mutha river basin.

Teams from Chandan Nagar police station and Crime Branch are investigating the case.
