Pune, 25th August 2024: A family from Pune drew significant attention during their recent visit to the Lord Balaji temple at Tirumala, as they wore an astonishing 25 kilograms of gold jewellery.

Sunny Nanasaheb Waghchoure and Sanjay Gujar, often referred to as the “Golden Boys” of Pune, made a grand entrance with their gleaming gold chains and other flashy accessories, captivating the crowd. Their visit on Friday quickly became the talk of the temple.

As they exited the temple after completing their darshan, the duo, accompanied by Sunny’s wife Preeti Soni, found themselves surrounded by devotees eager for selfies. The situation became challenging for their security detail, consisting of about 15 bodyguards, along with the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) security personnel, who had to manage the growing crowd.

Preeti Soni, who is an actress and model known for her roles in various drama series, accompanied her husband Sunny and their close friend Sanjay on this pilgrimage. The trio, all residents of Pimpri Chinchwad, have gained significant attention for their opulent lifestyle. Sunny Waghchoure and Sanjay Gujar, both involved in the construction business, are also known for their ventures in the entertainment industry, with Sunny also working as a producer. Their love for gold extends beyond jewellery, as they are also known to own gold-covered shoes, watches, and luxury cars.

Reflecting on the experience, Sanjay Gujar shared, “We visited the temple on Friday, and the video of our visit has gone viral. This was my second visit to the temple. I’ve had a passion for wearing gold since my childhood, and it has become a hobby of mine.”
