Pune: Khadakwasla Dam Raises Water Release To 23,122 Cusecs

Pune, 24th August 2024: The Khadakwasla Dam authorities have issued a public notice warning residents of increased water discharge into the Mutha river basin. As of 6:00 PM today, the dam’s spillway discharge was raised from 19,118 cusecs to 23,122 cusecs due to ongoing rainfall and changing weather conditions.

This adjustment is part of a routine response to manage water levels, and further changes may be made depending on the intensity of the rainfall and water inflow to the dam. Residents living in low-lying areas near the Mutha River are advised to exercise caution and stay updated on further notices.

The Sub Divisional Engineer of the Mutha Canal Irrigation Sub Division has emphasized the possibility of additional increases or decreases in water discharge as the situation evolves.

Local authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure public safety, and residents are urged to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions.
