Pune: Biker Clubs Host Cause-Driven Ride on Independence Day to Promote Social Responsibility and Road Safety

Pune, 17th August 2024: Several local biker clubs, including the Western Riders Club, Throttle Brotherhood Pune, and Soul Machines Riders, came together to organize a special event on the occasion of India’s 78th Independence Day. This cause-driven ride aimed to raise awareness about social responsibility, brotherhood, patriotism, and road safety.

The event saw the participation of around 60 to 70 bikers from various age groups and backgrounds, all united by their passion for riding and a shared commitment to social causes. The day began with a flag hoisting ceremony at the Poona School and Home for Blind, a local institution dedicated to the education and welfare of visually impaired students. The bikers engaged with the students, sharing stories and emphasizing the importance of road safety.

The ride, which started early in the morning, continued throughout the day as the bikers rode through key areas of the city, including SB Road, JM Road, and Kothrud. The event was carefully planned by the organizing clubs, who secured all necessary permissions from local authorities. Adhering to strict safety protocols, the bikers wore helmets and followed traffic rules, with support from local police who managed traffic and ensured a smooth ride.

The biker clubs organized this event to celebrate Independence Day in a way that transcends traditional festivities. By promoting social responsibility and road safety, they aimed to foster a spirit of brotherhood and patriotism among both the participants and the public.
