SARDAR VALLABHBHAI PATEL UNITY AND HERITAGE MOTORCYCLE EXPEDITION

Assam Rifles, the Premier Border Guarding Force of the Nation organised a Tri-Nation Motorcycle expedition to promote unity and Heritage in the North East. It has been dedicated to SardarVallabhbhai Patel, the ‘Iron Man’ of India, as a tribute to his rich legacy.

The expedition was flagged off from Shillong by the Hon’ble Governor of Meghalaya Shri Ganga Prasad on 30 October 17. The 19 motorcyclists will traverse from Shillong to Sylhet, Bangladesh and enter India from Akhura Border Post Agartala on 01 November.

The expedition is planned over a period of 19 days during which these ambassadors of Assam Rifles are scheduled to visit Bangladesh, Myanmar, North Eastern states of Tripura, Assam, Mizoram, Manipur and Nagaland before returning to Shillong.

The expedition will be flagged in on 20 Nov at Silchar by President of India during his visit to celebrate Barak Namami.
