Pune’s ACP Satish Govekar Receives President’s Special Service Police Medal

Pune, 14th August 2024: On the eve of India’s 78th Independence Day, the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service has been announced. Satish Govekar, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch, Pune Police Commissionerate, has been awarded the President’s Special Service Police Medal.

Govekar, who currently serves in the Crime Branch of the Pune Police Force, began his career as a police sub-inspector and has played a crucial role in solving numerous significant crimes. He has made substantial contributions to the crime branch over the years.

Also, Additional Director General of Police Chiranjeev Prasad and Special Inspector General of Police Dr. Rajendra Dahale Rajendra Dahale have been awarded the President’s Special Service Police Medal. In total, 39 policemen from Maharashtra have been recognized with the President’s Police Medal for their meritorious service.
