Pune Police Seize Rs 1 Crore Worth of Mephedrone in Vishrantwadi Raid

Vishrantwadi, 10th August 2024: Pune, often referred to as the ‘Oxford of the East’, is facing growing concerns over drug-related activities. In a recent operation, Pune Police seized a significant quantity of Mephedrone (MD) from the Vishrantwadi area, with a market value exceeding ₹1 crore.

Three youths were detained in connection with the case, all apprehended in the Lohgaon area. The Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Pune Police Crime Branch confiscated 471 grams of MD, valued at over ₹1 crore.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Srinivas Santosh Godaje, Rohit Shantaram Bende, and Nimish Subhash Abhnave. A case has been registered at the Vishrantwadi Police Station, and further investigations are ongoing.
