15 Senior Police Officers Transferred Across State, New Appointments in Pune

Pune, 8th August 2024: On Wednesday evening, the Home Department of Maharashtra State Government issued transfer orders for 15 officers of the rank of Deputy Commissioner in the State Police Force. Among the notable changes, Vijay Kumar Magar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 4, Pune City Police, has been appointed as the Principal of the Police Training Center in Latur.

Additionally, DCP (Traffic) Rohidas Pawar has also been transferred from the Pune Police. To fill the vacancies, three new DCPs have been appointed to the Pune Police Force. These include Nikhil Pingle, Superintendent of Police, Gondia; G Sridhar, Superintendent of Police, Hingoli; and Rajkumar Shinde, Superintendent of Nanded range of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).

The transfer orders are part of the Home Department’s regular administrative reshuffling aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the State Police Force.
