Pune: Three Arrested For Vandalizing Wine Shop In Camp After Being Asked To Leave

Camp, 6th August 2024: The Lashkar police station has arrested three men for ransacking the New York Wine shop in New Modikhana locality in Camp, Pune, with sharp weapons.

The suspects, Sohail Khan (26), Sahil Sayyed (26), and Nizam Shaikh (25), all residents of Bhavani Peth, were identified and arrested based on CCTV footage from the shop. The incident took place around 9 pm on Sunday.

Anand Jaware (50), the owner of the wine shop, filed a complaint stating that the trio had smashed the glass counter and an advertisement board before fleeing the spot.

Upon arrest, the accused confessed that they vandalized the shop because they were angered by being asked to leave the premises while they were chatting outside, police said.
