Pune Fire Brigade, PMRDA, NDRF, Army Deploy Teams Across City to Manage Flood Situation

Pune, 3rd August 2024: Due to ongoing flood concerns in Pune, multiple fire brigade teams have been deployed across the city to manage the rising water levels and ensure the safety of residents. The Pune Fire Brigade, along with PMRDA, NDRF and Army, has been actively working in various locations affected by the flooding.

1. Ekta Nagri, Sinhagad Road: A firefighting vehicle from Suncity Fire Station and a PMRDA firefighting vehicle, both equipped with three boats, are currently stationed and operational.

2. Nimbaj Nagar: Firefighters from Navale Fire Station are present with their firefighting vehicle to manage the situation.

3. Dattawadi Ghat: A firefighting vehicle from Janata Vasahat Fire Station is actively working in this area to control the flooding.

4. Bhide Bridge, River Bank: Kasba Fire Station has deployed firefighting vehicles to ensure the safety and manage the water levels at this location.

5. Pulachi Wadi, River Bank: A fire engine from Erandwana Fire Station is operational to address any emergencies that may arise.

6. Vishrantwadi: Yerwada Fire Station has sent a fire vehicle and a PMRDA rescue van to assist in this area.

7. Tadiwala Road: A fire engine from Naidu Fire Station is working diligently to manage the flooding and provide assistance to residents.

8. NDRF teams have prepositioned at Balewadi and Chinchwad, ready to move to any site as per requirement.

9. One Column of Indian Army troops from Southern Command deployed in Ekta Nagari, Sinhgad Road, as per request of Pune District Collector.

As of now, the situation is reported to be under control at all these locations. The fire brigade and PMRDA teams are continuously monitoring the water levels and are prepared to respond to any emergencies.
