Pune: Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Reviews Traffic Jam Issues in Chakan and Mahalunge
Chakan, 1st August 2024: Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey conducted a joint traffic planning review meeting today at Gabriel India Ltd, Chakan, after inspecting the traffic jam in the limits of Chakan Police Station and Mahalunge MIDC Police Station.
For this traffic planning review meeting, attendees included Khed Alandi MLA Dilip Mohite Patil; officials from the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI); engineers from the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) in Chakan; Khed Tehsildar; Block Development Officer of Khed; in-charge officers of Chakan Nagar Parishad; Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Chief Engineer; officials from the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA); Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Limited (MSRDC) officials; NHAI contractors; officials from Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC); Deputy Commissioner of Police from Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Branch; Deputy Commissioner of Police from Pimpri Chinchwad Zone 3; Assistant Commissioner of Police from Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Branch; Assistant Commissioner of Police from Pimpri Chinchwad Chakan Division; Police Inspectors from Mahalunge MIDC and Chakan Traffic Branches; Senior Police Inspectors from Chakan and Mahalunge MIDC Police Stations; and HROs from private companies in MIDC.
In the meeting, after reviewing the traffic problems in Chakan and Mahalunge areas, immediate measures to solve the current traffic congestion were discussed, and suggestions were given for joint action with other relevant departments to address the problem.
