Pune: Maharashtra Education Department Launches Student Quality Development Campaign for August

Pune, 30th July 2024: The Maharashtra Education Department is set to launch the Student Quality Development Initiative from 1st August to 31st August. This campaign will review various schemes and activities, including measures to reduce the weight of notebooks, the use of blank pages in textbooks, student attendance, the implementation of Happy Saturday activities, and school timings. Officials will conduct inspections at schools throughout the month.

Education Commissioner Suraj Mandhare outlined the initiative, noting that it will involve inspecting facilities and schemes for students from grades one through twelve. The decision to implement this campaign was made in a recent meeting chaired by Maharashtra’s Minister for School Education, Deepak Kesarkar.

Psychometric Career Assessment Test

The initiative is structured as follows: the first 20 days will focus on physical school visits, the next six days will address necessary improvements, and the final four days will ensure proper implementation. During the campaign, the Deputy Director of Education, the Education Officer, and other officials will visit schools and update reports daily via a dedicated website after each visit. The Deputy Director of Education has instructed officials to visit as many schools as possible to ensure that the various schemes effectively reach students and that accurate information is collected.
