Pune: Heavy Rain Prompts Khadakwasla Dam to Increase Water Release to 11,704 Cusecs from 10 PM

Khadakwasla, 28th July 2024: The water discharge from Khadakwasla Dam into the Mutha River Basin is set to increase from 7,704 cusecs to 11,704 cusecs at 10:00 PM today. This decision is in response to the rapid rise in water levels due to ongoing heavy rainfall in the catchment area.

 

Officials from the Khadakwasla Dam management have indicated that further adjustments to the discharge rate may be necessary depending on the volume of rain and its subsequent impact on water levels. Residents and relevant authorities have been advised to stay informed about potential changes.
