Pune Flood Alert: Khadakwasla Dam Discharge Increased To 35,574 Cusecs

Pune, 25th July 2024: The Khadakwasla Dam authorities have announced an increase in water discharge from the dam’s spillway into the Mutha River basin. Starting at 6:00 AM today, the discharge rate was raised from 27,203 cusecs to 35,574 cusecs.

 

 

Shweta Kurhade, Executive Engineer of the Khadakwasla Irrigation Department, emphasized that these changes are subject to further adjustments based on the volume and arrival of rainfall. The discharge may be increased or decreased as necessary to manage the water levels effectively.

In light of the increased water discharge and to ensure public safety, residents are advised to avoid the following areas:

– Bhide Bridge
– Garware College Khillare Vasti College Campus
– Shitala Devi Temple Deccan
– Sangam Bridge Settlement
– Jayantrao Tilak Bridge
– Holkar Bridge
