Family Rescued by Fire Brigade After Being Trapped by Locked Door in Pune
Chandannagar, 24th July 2024: A family was safely rescued by the fire brigade today after being trapped inside their home due to a locked door. The incident occurred at Bombay Sapras Colony, Chandannagar, and was reported to the fire brigade control room at 12:41 PM.
The Yerwada Fire Station dispatched a fire engine immediately upon receiving the distress call. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that the family was trapped in a second-floor apartment. The mother and her three-year-old child were in the bathroom, while the one-and-a-half-year-old baby was in another room. The main door had become latched, trapping all three individuals inside.
Firefighters quickly assessed the situation and decided to enter through the adjacent balcony. Using specialised equipment, they broke the door frame and successfully rescued the family.
The rescue operation involved Driver Raghunath Bhoir and Firemen Sunil Tengle, Rishikesh Jare, Amol Ranadive, and Vijay Jadhav.
